Test Day =)

Today I got to test my clubs! Thankfully they lived up to their expectations and even excelled beyond them. I was amazed at how much better they performed than my old clubs. There is one thing that I am especially glad that I chose to do. In creating my clubs, I opted to go an extra step and insert Sensicore into my shafts during assembly. For the cold winter months, this can be a life saver. Sensicore is a shock dampening material that is inserted, by the club maker, directly into the shaft at a depth of 7 inches. On days when the wind is whipping and there is an overcast (especially during the months of December and January), this extra step can make every hit feel as smooth as a hot knife through butter :)

THESE CLUBS ARE AMAZING!!!

Completion!!!!!!

Steve and I finally finished our clubs after multiple days of work....

I am so excited to try them out now :)

The final steps consisted of applying the sensicore and the grips to the shaft after trimming them to my correct heights using the horizontally placed tool in the picture. These clubs are gonna be amazing, I'm so glad that I will be able to use them as early as tomorrow.

They are beginning to resemble clubs!!!

I finally got a start on the actual club making with Steve. I can already tell that this trait that I am learning will be something that I will be able to use for the rest of my life. Steve and I took our time through the assembly, making it easier for me to learn and perform the various steps that it takes to assemble the clubs. I cant wait to complete my clubs!!

Aquiring The Goods

Today I picked up my parts for the clubs I plan to make. I purchased some good stuff! I have some Golf Pride Tour Wrap grips, True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and a set of Sensicore (used to dampen the shock on mishits), and the T7 Turbo Power club heads. This Friday I plan to begin assembling them custom to my needs. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Getting Started

Today I talked for quite a while with my mentor about the various possibilities I have when it comes to designing a club suitable for me. There must have been hundreds of custimizations I could pursue in the creation of my own clubs. Since they are something I will possibly have for many years to come, I plan to do a very thorough job with my clubs.
